Los
Angeles, a city where most people are artists, and everyone is a
dreamer. Being an underground musician in Los Angeles isn’t easy.
Balancing work, and our passions, we do what we have to do to keep our
dreams alive. If there is any musician that embodies the “Los Angeles
Dream” and works hard to make his dreams come true, it is Boyle Heights
based artist, Nk-Riot.

NK-Riot started from scratch years ago with just a
guitar, and after years of hard work and a few adjustments, he is now
getting the attention he deserves. Known for
being an inspiration to youth in his hometown of Boyle Heights, and
reminding kids that anything is possible, he is taking it one step
further by influencing the next generation of “Rioteers”. This January
he will be leading a modern youth workshop in his neighborhood and has
plans to teach kids how to build monophonic synthesizers, as well as
play them. This local inspirator is also known for being a progressive
inventor. By creating his own custom designed equipment, and custom-made
chrome head wear with a wireless microphone and built in LED lights, he
is taking the Los Angeles music scene by storm. He has also created his own
unique merchandise, including his 2015 invention the “Holo-Display” that
allows fans to view his enthralling holographic music videos from their
mobile phones. Nk-Riot has opened for acts such as southern bounce
queen, Big Freedia, and has graced The Echoplex stage at L.A.’s fastest
growing street music festival, Echo Park Rising. His soulful and
electrifying performances have his fans everywhere calling him our
musical revolutionary. This September 10th you can catch him live at
Azul Bar for Main Fest in Alhambra where he will be performing
along-side acts such as Miami Horror, !!! (CHK CHK CHK), Capital Cities and Nite-Funk.
